My article today is predicated on the fact that this is the 19th anniversary of the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. This year, for the first time, our youngest voters will have been born after the terror attacks of 9/11. Consequently, while those of us were were old enough to have lived through those deadly attacks were traumatized, the newest generation of Americans only know about those attacks if they were taught about 9/11. Many schools are failing to have honest discussion about 9/11 so that many young Americans know more about the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor which propelled the U.S. to participate in World War II than they know about 9/11.
It is highly doubtful that any of the candidates for significant political offices will be asked the simple question, “Hav you read the 9/11 Commission Report?”
Joe Biden and his running mate have proposed sweeping immigration changes that run in diametric opposition to the findings, recommendations and warnings of the 9/11 Commission (to which I provided testimony).
Today my commentary will provide the information and perspectives on the nexus between immigration and the continuing threats posed by terrorism and threats America and Americans face.
To be certain, effective immigration law enforcement is not “Anti-Immigrant” as the mainstream media and all too many politicians falsely claim. The same immigration laws that tell us who to keep out and who to kick out also tell us who to admit.
Our immigration laws make no distinction about the superficial factors of race, religion or ethnicity but rather focus on keeping out aliens who suffer from dangerous communicable diseases, severe mental illness, are criminals, spies, terrorists, human traffickers, drug smugglers, fugitives from justice or would take the jobs of American workers or become public charges.
Facts are indeed, “stubborn things!”
Please take the time to read my commentary in its entirety.
Ignorance is not bliss. Knowledge is power, so my article provides some cold hard facts for you to consider and hopefully share with others.
If you like my article I ask that you make a point of posting it on FaceBook and other social media and forward this e-mail to as many folks as you can. It is important to dispel the lies and nonsense about the true nature and significance of effective immigration law enforcement in this particularly perilous era.
Being “Pro-Enforcement” is not “Anti-Immigrant.” Indeed, advocates for immigration anarchy are actually taking an “Anti-Immigrant” position by obfuscating the line that separates lawful immigrants from illegal aliens. To provide a bit of clarity, while we are indeed a “Nation of immigrants” America is not a nation of trespassers. The difference between an immigrant and an illegal alien is comparable to the difference between a houseguest and a burglar.
