On the radio today, August 29th, for a "Double-Header" beginning at 3:00 PM Eastern Time

Hi Gang:
I will be doing a radio “Double-Header” today beginning at 3:00 PM, Eastern Daylight Saving Time when I join Marc Bernier, host of the Marc Bernier Show that is broadcast on Daytona Beach, Florida radio station WNDB.

We plan to talk about my upcoming trip to join Marc and Congressman Lou Barletta on the campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida on September 3rd, to participate in public forum that will be broadcast live on Marc’s radio show.
As you might expect, we will focus on immigration.
C-SPAN is planning to also tape the event for later release.  I have provided the information about the event that is open to the public.
The press releases issued by Embry-Riddle University, about the event is attached to the bottom of this e-mail.
Next, at 8:30 PM, Eastern Daylight Saving Time, I will be a guest on Daria Anne DiGiovanni’s radio show.

Immigration is not a single issue but a singular issue that impacts nearly every challenge and threat confronting the United States today!  Simply stated, the immigration laws were enacted to save lives and protect the jobs of American workers.

Our armed forces are charged with securing America’s borders externally while the DHS is supposed to secure those same borders from within.  The failures of the DHS to live up to its half of the equation are undermining the efforts, valor and incredible sacrifices of Americas men and women who serve in our military!

If our government’s failures to protect American jobs by securing our nation’s borders and effectively enforcing our immigration laws concerns you or especially if it angers you, I ask you to call your Senators and Congressional “Representative. This is not only your right- it is your obligation! 

All I ask is that you make it clear to our politicians that we are not as dumb as they hope we are!

We live in a perilous world and in a perilous era. The survival of our nation and the lives of our citizens hang in the balance.

This is neither a Conservative issue, nor is it a Liberal issue- simply stated, this is most certainly an AMERICAN issue!

You are either part of the solution or you are a part of the problem!

Democracy is not a spectator sport!

Lead, follow or get out of the way!

The Fall 2013 President’s Speaker Series at Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach Campus will host speakers on topics ranging from the Iraq War, illegal immigration and Florida agriculture to the lighter side of life with a motivational presentation on reaching goals and another celebrating the achievements of ordinary Americans.

Sponsored by Embry-Riddle President Dr. John P. Johnson, the speaker series seeks to engage the student body, the campus community and area residents in current political issues, trigger productive debate and produce a more educated electorate.

Each 90-minute free event is open to the public and starts at 7 p.m. in the Gale Lemerand Auditorium of the Willie Miller Instructional Center on Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach campus, 600 S. Clyde Morris Blvd.

All events will be moderated by Marc Bernier, special assistant to Dr. Johnson, with most of the events broadcast live on 1150AM WNDB and streamed live  atwww.marcberniershow.com.

The Inside Story on Illegal Immigration

Sharing their insights on our nation’s struggle to secure its borders will be two speakers, U.S. Rep. Lou Barletta of Pennsylvania, a member of the House Committee on Homeland Security, and Michael Cutler, a retired Immigration and Naturalization Service agent with 30 years of experience who is frequently called upon by Congress and the news media for his expertise.
