Hi Gang:
I have been invited to participate in an event that is being sponsored by FAIR on Septemb
er 12th at 12:30 PM in room 1629 of the Longworth House Office Building.
It is expected that members of Congress and their staffers will be in attendance for a discussion about the nexus between immigration and national security. This is an especially important topic considering that on September 11th will mark the 11th anniversary of the worst terrorist attack ever committed on American soil- an attack that would have not been possible if the terrorists had not been able to enter the United States in the first place.
Failures of the immigration benefits program then enabled a number of them to embed themselves in the communities in which they lived, as they managed to effectively hide in plain sight as they went about their preparations to carry out the horrific attacks that resulted in the slaughter approximately 3,000 innocent victims on that day. (Others have since perished as a result of their exposure to toxins released as a result of those attacks while many others remain gravely ill.)
Today hundreds of American cities are infested by members of the Mexican drug cartels and other transnational gangs. Recently CBS News aired a disturbing news report in which Jack Riley, the Special Agent in Charge of the Chicago office of the DEA, said that there are neighborhoods in Chicago that resemble Mexican border towns with competing Mexican cartel members engaging in gun battles for control over drug turf in Chicago!
Since the election of the previous president of Mexico, Felipe Calderon, an estimated 50,000 Mexicans have lost their lives to the drug wars being fought on Mexican streets. SAC Riley has compared parts of Chicago to a “Mexican border town!” If the federal government continues to refuse to truly secure our borders and not just by empty words but meaningful deeds, how many Americans are likely to die in the next four years?
On August 29, 2012 CAPS (Californians for Population Stabilization) posted my commentary that focused on the deplorable and disconcerting situation plaguing neighborhoods in Chicago that was entitled:
On August 2, 2012 Fox News Latino posted my commentary that was entitled:
Immigration is not a single issue but a singular issue that impacts nearly every threat and challenge our nation faces- especially in this perilous era.
Our immigration laws were enacted for two primary purposes- to protect American lives and to protect American jobs.
Clearly our immigration laws are not being enforced in a meaningful way. National security is being compromised.
Similarly, community safety in communities across America is being compromised. Once again, the failures of the federal government are being felt by Americans throughout the United States. Americans of every race, religion and ethnicity are losing their lives and their jobs.
I look forward to providing my perspectives at this upcoming event and to listening to others whose perspectives are well worth considering.
I have attached a copy of the FAIR press release below.
If our government’s failures to protect American jobs by securing our nation’s borders and effectively enforcing our immigration laws concerns you or especially if it angers you, I ask you to call your Senators and Congressional “Representative. This is not only your right- it is your obligation!
All I ask is that you make it clear to our politicians that we are not as dumb as they hope we are!
We live in a perilous world and in a perilous era. The survival of our nation and the lives of our citizens hang in the balance.
Immigration is neither a Conservative issue, nor is it a Liberal issue- simply stated, Immigration is most certainly an AMERICAN issue!
You are either part of the solution or you are a part of the problem!
Democracy is not a spectator sport!
Lead, follow or get out of the way!
