This morning, Tuesday, September 11th, at about 7:05 AM Eastern Daylight Saving Time, I will be a guest on a terrific radio show, “York’s Morning News” that is hosted by an old friend, Gary Sutton. His show is broadcast on radio station WSBA from York, Pennsylvania.
It is always great being on his show and I am looking forward to joining him!
As you would expect, this being the eleventh anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11th, our conversation will focus on the nexus between immigration and national security. Our borders and our immigration laws represent our first line of defense and our last line of defense. As I have noted in Congressional hearings and elsewhere, “A country without secure borders can no more stand than can a house without walls!”

Immigration is not a single issue but a singular issue that impacts nearly every challenge and threat America faces today!
If our government’s failures to secure our nation’s borders and effectively enforce our immigration laws concerns you or especially if it angers you, you need to contact your elected representatives to make your concerns known to your elected representatives, especially your Congressional representatives and your senators. This is not just your right but your obligation!
All I ask is that you make it clear to our politicians that we are not as dumb as they hope we are!
We live in a perilous world and in a perilous era. The survival of our nation and the lives of our citizens hang in the balance.
This is neither a Conservative issue, nor is it a Liberal issue- simply stated, this is most certainly an AMERICAN issue!
You are either part of the solution or you are a part of the problem!
Democracy is not a spectator sport!
Lead, follow or get out of the way!
